| Alliance The Alliance meets one Wednesday each month at BUC for lunch and a program. All members and friends are welcome to participate. Free child care and transportation can be arranged. For programing details see the Alliance brochure. |

| BUC Choir The BUC Choir, directed by Abha Dearing, performs four Sunday mornings a month. They sing a wide variety of music---from spirituals to classical to Billy Joel to folksongs to comtemporary. The 40 to 50 member group rehearses on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00, with goodies and conversation afterwards. They also present a Christmas concert and an entire service centered around music. Newcomers are always welcome. There is great cameraderie in this group and no auditions required. |
| All-Church No-Fault
Orchestra Each Christmas we gather together our All-Church No-Fault Orchestra--instrumentalists from 5th graders through grandparents--to provide special holiday music and carols for a Sunday morning service. This year we have 55 players--great intergenerational experience! |
| Sharing Dinners One Saturday each month, groups of 7 or 8 BUCers gather in each others' homes for a planned potluck dinner. This is a great opportunity to get to know other BUC members and friends. Each month the names are shuffled, giving participants the chance to dine and visit with many different people during the year. |
| Small Group Fellowship The Small Group Fellowship provides an opportunity to strengthen a sense of personal community and connection within the congregation for members and friends who are looking for deeper connections than are possible during the Sunday service and social hour. Groups of six to ten members meet once or twice a month for about two hours to participate in facilitated discussions that offer intellectual stimulation, friendship, inspiration, sharing of values, and support on our spiritual journeys. New members are added and/or new groups are formed as needed. For more information see Small Group Fellowship. |
| 20/30 Somethings This new group is designed to bring to gether people in their 20s and 30s---single, married, gay or straight---to enjoy companionship and cameraderie with like-minded people in their age group who wish to have a meaningful connection to our church. Activities include both social and social action opportunities. |

| Outsiders If communing with the great outdoors is your bliss, join the Outsiders on some of their events. |
| Film and Theater Buffs Drop by BUC the first Friday evening of the month at 7:30 to watch a film and participate in a lively discussion. Then regroup, if you wish, for snacks and more discussion at a local restaurant. Group outings are arranged for regional theater productions with dinner following a performance in Ann Arbor or Chelsea. |

| Book Clubs BUC book clubs meet monthly for facilitated discussions of books. Current groups are Contemporary Novels, Avid Readers and Potpourri. |

The Knitting Ministry
This group knits or crochets shawls,
lap robes or similar articles for members who are grieving, coping with
a serious illness or otherwise in need of comfort, or to celebrate a
milestone event or friendship. Members supply their own materials and/or
share materials and patterns. Help create gifts that express love and
compassion from the BUC community to the recipient.

| Holiday Dinners Simplify your holidays by joining fellow BUCers in the Social Hall for a potluck dinner complete with roast turkey on both Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. |
| MAMA's Coffee House Come and be entertained by professional musicians while sipping coffee, cabaret style, with friends at BUC on selected Saturday evenings---open mic at 7:15 p.m. with regular show from 8-10 p.m. People interested in planning are also welcome. | The Mountain Retreat The Mountain is a camp and conference center run by the Unitarian Universalists located atop Little Scaly Mountain near Highlands, North Carolina. It offers programs year-round and welcomes drop-ins. BUC has had seven congregational retreats to the Mountain, which have been a great opportunity for BUCers to get to know once another better in a beautiful spiritual setting. |
