Sunday Service, June 15 “Benedictions”
Benediction literally means good word. According to my dictionary, they are expressions or utterances of blessing or good wishes. I’ll be sharing, on this my last Sunday in the pulpit as your settled minister, some of the good words that have sustained me throughout my ministry. This is also Flower Communion Sunday. Each of us brings a flower that is placed in a common basket, representing the unique gifts that each of us brings to our community. Together they make a bouquet more beautiful than each flower alone. When we leave we take a different flower, symbolizing that we are changed by our being a part of this community. The BUC choir will sing both services. The Plate Collection Recipient for this Sunday is the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee. For more information: www.uusc.org Looking Ahead
