The architect for our church was Minoru Yamasaki. Noted for his design of numerous buildings in the Detroit area, including Wayne State University's unique education building and the McGregor Memorial Conference Center, Yamasaki went on to become one of the greatest architects of the era.
The centerpiece of Yamasaki's concept was a terraced courtyard with flowering trees selected to surprise and delight year round. Extensive glass walls facing both the courtyard garden and surrounding property bring the outside in, fostering a tranquil, open feeling in all the rooms.
